Rhome ~ Jerry Wayne Lee, 76, of Rhome, went to be with our Lord on Wednesday, April 29th, 2026, in Fort Worth.

Graveside Service is 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 4th, at Aurora Cemetery. Family will receive friends 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. Sunday at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Boyd. Wise County Veterans Group will provide military honors.

Honorary Pallbearers are Jason Kurtz, Casey Kurtz, Lane Kurtz, and Jarred Lee.

Jerry was born on November 28, 1949, to James Wesley and Ann (Hinders) Lee in Hampton, Iowa. He was united in marriage to Alice Gray on November 11, 1979, in Sinton, Texas. After many years of hard work on the road, Jerry retired from his career as a truck driver. As a veteran of the Vietnam War, he served his country proudly in the United States Marine Corps. Jerry was a beloved father, brother, brother-in-law, grandfather, and friend to many who will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Alice Lee; his son, Jesse Lee; and his sister, Bonnie Erskine.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his daughter, Jennifer Kurtz and her husband, Rob of Rhome; his grandchildren, Jason, Casey, and Lane Kurtz, Meagan, and Jarred Lee; his siblings, James “Jim” Lee and his wife, Myra of San Antonio, Steve Brewster and his wife, Clois, Mike Lee and his wife, Carrie, Sharon Diers and her husband, Bob, and John Lee and his wife, Jody; his sister-in-love, Mary Ann Lee; his brother-in-love, Frank Erskine; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
