Decatur ~ Jerry Herzberg, 71, a retired carpenter, went to be with our Lord Saturday, August 9, 2014 in Decatur.
Graveside service is 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at DFW National Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Monday at Coker-Hawkins Funeral home.
Rev. Gerre Joiner will officiate
Jerry was born on November 30, 1942 to Leslie and Lillian (Carlson) Herzberg in Renville County, North Dakota. He was united in marriage to Sharon Ann Rock on May 8, 1965 in Indianapolis, Indiana. Jerry was a retired self-employed carpenter. He served our country in the U.S. Marines, after serving active, Jerry then transfer to the Marine Reserves.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 49 years, Sharon Herzberg of Decatur; his daughters, Jackie Brown and husband Chad of Decatur, and Sheryl Dubois and husband Shane of Decatur; his grandchildren, Blakely and Barrett Brown, Shay, Shylee, and Shawn Dubois; his sisters, Darlene Rostad of North Dakota and Joanne Branson of North Dakota; his brother, Mark Herzberg of Alaska.
