Jennifer Lynn (Jordan) Peek

Rhome ~ Jennifer Peek, 40, went to be with our Lord Saturday, March 19, 2022.

Funeral is 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 24, 2022 at First Baptist Church in Alvord. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur.

Pastor Bill Cleveland will officiate.

Jennifer was born June 2, 1981 to Frederick Monroe and Lucretia (Doty) Jordan in Anson, Texas. She was united in marriage March 13, 2004 to Christopher Peek in Albany, Texas. Jennifer graduated with a Bachelor’s in Science at Tarleton State University, and was a teacher at Alvord High School where she was head of the Science Department and started a forensics program as well. Jennifer loved animals, playing basketball, she loved every student she taught and especially loved her family dearly. She was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, granddaughter, aunt, cousin, teacher, and friend to many who will miss her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Evert Monroe Jordan and Martha Ellen Jordan; an aunt, Margaret Tabor; and uncle Joe Stewart.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband Chris Peek of Rhome; her son, Brady Peek of Rhome; her parents, Frederick and Lucretia Jordan of Albany; 2 brothers, Lance Jordan and wife Casey of Iowa Park, and Evert Jordan of Albany; her grandparents, Don and Natoma Doty of Anson; 1 niece; 4 nephews; numerous extended family members; present and past students, and a host of friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alvord High School - Science Department in Honor of Mrs. Peek.
