J.B. Fussell

Funeral: 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2013 at Christian-Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Boyd. Family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Boyd Cemetery.

Officiating is Ronnie Oxner. Pallbearers include Jay Bryan Fussell, Hayden Perdue, Scott Joplin, Mark Reeves, Bill Allen and Bruce Martin.

J.B. was born on January 10, 1925 to Ben and Louella (Parker) Fussell in Nacogdoches, Texas. He married Virginia Lee Adams on July 18, 1946 in Lufkin, Texas. J.B. was a proud veteran of the United States Army Air Force. He was a service tool and dye maker for General Dynamics and retired in 1981, after 31 years of dedicated service. He was also a member of the Masons for over 50 years.

J.B is preceded in death by his parents and 9 siblings.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 67 years, Virginia Fussell of Boyd; his son, Bruce Fussell of Boyd; his granddaughter, Sherry Perdue and husband Hayden of Mansfield; his grandson, Jay Bryan Fussell and wife Malorie of Ft. Worth; his great grandchildren, Avery and Chase; his brother, Clyde Fussell of Alvarado; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
