Fort Worth ~ Janie Lynn Sparks Hansen, 76, went to be with our Lord on Saturday, October 31, 2026, in Fort Worth.

Janie was born on January 2, 1950, to James and Nancy (Irwin) Sparks in Fort Worth. She was united in marriage to Karl Jens Hansen on April 27, 2006, in Fort Worth; they were married for 20 wonderful years. Janie dedicated 37 years to American Airlines, embodying a strong work ethic and taking pride in her career. Her faith was also central to her life, and she was a devoted member of the Church of Christ in Rhome. Her legacy of commitment and devotion will be remembered fondly. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, cousin, and friend to many who will miss her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband of 20 years, Jens Hansen; her daughter, Kelly Marino; her stepchildren, John Hansen and Ashley Wooten; her granddaughter, Embry Rose Taylor; her step-grandchildren, Cade Wooten and Tyler Hansen; her sister, Carol Kite; her step-daughter-in-law, Kate Hansen; her cousins, Sandra Jennings and her husband, Doyle, and Anita Baker; other relatives and a host of friends.
