Rhome: James C. Whitehead, 87, a welder, went to be with our Lord, Sunday, December 4, 2011 in Denton, Texas.
Graveside service is 10 a.m. Wednesday, December 7th at Aurora Cemetery near Rhome with Rev. Terry Phillips officiating.
James was born December 3, 1924 in Rhome, Texas to John R. and Myrtle (Moore) Whitehead. He was united in marriage to Lossie Larue Jordon on November 20, 2000. He served in the United States Army Air Corp and was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church in Rhome.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Lossie Whitehead of Rhome; stepson, Ricky Wacasey of Newark; six step-grandchildren, James Lee, Richey, Chris, Bryan, Mark and Vickie; 10 step great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
