James Cornelius Richards,Jr.

Funeral is 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 28th at the First United Methodist Church in Decatur with Rev. John Taylor and Rev. Brian Bosworth officiating. Interment will follow service in Oaklawn Cemetery. Family will receive friends 7-8 p.m. Monday at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home.

Pallbearers include Klif Black, Pat McCurdy, Wayne Trachta, Shay Collins, Cole McCurdy, Yates McCurdy, Nathan Strange and Nicholas Trachta.

Jimmy was born September 8, 1957 in New Orleans, Louisiana to James "Jim" Sr. and Catherine Elaine (Overall) Richards. Jimmy worked for more than 20 years in the restaurant hospitality business and was currently a waiter at Sweetie Pie's Ribeye in Decatur. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Decatur.

Left behind to cherish his memory are his parents; sisters, Molly Black and husband Klif of Stephenville, Beth McCurdy and husband Pat, and Gay Trachta and husband Wayne of Decatur; nieces and nephews, Jennifer and Shay Collins, Stephanie and Nathan Strange, Yates, Lauren and Cole McCurdy and Reagan, Kendall, Nicholas and Cameron Trachta; great-niece and great-nephew, Emma and Zane Collins; other family members and a host of friends.
