Decatur: James Welton Redwine, 87, a rancher, farmer and dairyman, went to be with our Lord, Wednesday, June 26, 2013 in Decatur.
Funeral is 1 p.m. Saturday, June 29th at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel with Revs Charles Taylor and Jason Wiggington officiating. Interment: Sweetwater Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home.
Pallbearers include Jerry Mara, Ed Robinson, Mike Overton, Steve Burk, Cheyenne Redwine, and Laramie Redwine. Honorary pallbearers include Glen Burk, Sonny Burk and Dale Burk.
Welton was born May 4, 1926 in Chico to Hugh and Sybil(Howell) Redwine. He was united in marriage to Peggy (Israel) Redwine on June 8, 1947 in Decatur. He was a member of the Allison Community Church.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his son, Tony Redwine and wife Connie; two grandsons, Cheyenne and Laramie Redwine; sister, Dora Rose all of Decatur; and a host of friends.
Welton was preceded in death by his son, Jimmy Don Redwine; brother, Ardell Redwine; and sister, Ora Redwine.
