James Wilson Money

Bridgeport~ James Wilson Money, 61, went to be with our Lord Wednesday, June 26, 2019, in Bridgeport.

Funeral is 3:00 p.m. Saturday, June 29, 2019 at Pleasant View Baptist Church in Bridgeport with burial in Thomas Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday at Hawkins Funeral Home Bridgeport.

Rev. Gary Dimmitt will officiate. Pallbearers include Clayton Byrd, Jarrod Montford, Chan Horne, Ryan Murphy, Eddie Frances, and Jeremy Goodger. Honorary Pallbearers include Randy Wilson, Jesse Sadage, Joe Murphy, Joe Ed Murphy, Richard Ramsey, and Mark Wyman.

James was born May 6, 1958 to Kenneth Lee and Mary (Luxton) Money in Odessa. He was united in marriage to Judy (Montford) Money on July 28, 1978 in Bridgeport. He was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church. James spent 30+ years in the Oil and Gas industry.

He was preceded in death by his son, Donald Lee Money; his mother, Mary (Luxton) Money; and his father in law, Donald Montford.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 40 years, Judy Montford Money of Bridgeport; his daughter, Jodi Money of Bridgeport; his father, Kenneth Money of Midland; his sister, Carol Money of Chico; his brother, Donny Money and wife Dawn of Midland; his mother- in- law, Verda Montford of Bridgeport; numerous nieces, nephews,  extended family, and a host of friends.
