Funeral is 11 a.m. Monday, September 16th at the First United Methodist Church of Alvord with Rev. Carolyn Allbritton officiating. Graveside service is 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Dallas/Fort Worth National Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home.
Pallbearers include James' children, Randy Hull, Mark Hull, Dan Walker, Monica Odom, Ronna Walker and Donna Durham.
James was born December 16, 1936 in Arkansas City, Kansas to Earl John and Reba Van Dora (Southwood) Hull. He was united in marriage to Wanda Randolph on June 25, 1966 in Carrollton, Texas. James and Wanda moved to Alvord in 2001. James was a talented musician. He played the bass guitar, harmonica, banjo, fiddle, trombone and ukulele. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Alvord.
James served in the United States Air Force. He worked for Braniff Airlines, Piedmont Airlines, and U. S. Airways as an aircraft mechanic and avionics specialist and retired after 40 years of service.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Wanda Hull of Alvord; three sons, Charles Hull and wife Kim of Aurora, James Hull and wife Pat of Arlington, and Dan Walker of Oklahoma; three daughters, Monica Odom and husband Bob of Kingsville, Texas, Ronna Walker of Roanoak; and Donna Durham of Abilene; 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; sister, Pat Hall of Whitesboro; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
