Boyd ~ James Leo Holder, 82, went to be with our Lord Sunday, August 31, 2014 in Boyd.
Funeral is 10:30 a.m. Thursday, September 4, 2014 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with burial in Pleasant Grove Cemetery #2 Keeter. The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Christian-Hawkins Funeral Home in Boyd.
Rev. Dale Noska will officiate. Pallbearers include Keith Husley, Mark Sanders, Johnny Luster, Jonathon Holder, Rodney Holder and James G. Holder.
James was born October 19, 1931 to James and Betty (West) Holder in Fort Worth, Texas. He served in the National Guard of the United States and was retired from Menasco Areo Space.
James was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Wynell (Neill) Holder; his sons, Ricky and Michael Holder; and his sister, Francis Holder.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his son, Jeff Holder and wife Regina of Boyd; his grandchildren, Michael Brown and wife Angela, Jeremy Brown, Kim Holder and Kevin Holder; 6 great grandchildren; his brother, Johnny Holder and wife Peggy of Bridgeport; other family members and a host of friends.
