James was born December 30, 1941 in Hoxie, Arkansas to David Lee and Vina Robins. He married Ida Jessene Wallis on March 7, 1959. James retired from Martin Brower Trucking Company in Grand Prairie after 30 years of service and was a member of Victory Family Church in Decatur.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 51 years, Jessene Harber of Decatur; daughter, Tish DeLeon of Westfield, Indiana; son, James Harber, Jr. of Midland, Texas; brother, Daniel Harber of Decatur; four grandsons and 1 great granddaugher.
