Granbury ~ James Daniel Fahnestock, 66, went to be with our Lord Thursday, June 5, 2025 in Arlington.
Funeral service is 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 14, at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Bridgeport with burial at Chico Cemetery. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Juan Colunga to officiate. Pallbearers are James Kennedy III, Michael Marino, Gary Fahnestock, Allen Broyles, Mark Widman, and Eddie Zepeta. Honorary Pallbearers are William Fahnestock and Roddy Fahnestock.
James was born on October 17, 1958 to Ernest James Alfred and Ellen Jane (Martin) Fahnestock in Fort Worth. While fulfilling his career as a Derrick Man in the oil field, he also put his talent to use in the carpentry industry. He found immense joy in his hobbies, which included fishing and woodwork, but his greatest source of happiness came from being an uncle. He cherished the time spent with his nieces and nephews and loved them dearly, creating special memories that will last a lifetime. James was a beloved brother, uncle, great-uncle, and a friend to many that will miss him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Lary Jon Fahnestock; and his grandparents, William Daniel (WD) Martin and Attie Martin.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his brothers, Billy Guy Fahnestock of Granbury and Gary Don Fahnestock of Red Oak; his sister, Kathy Kennedy and husband Jay of Granbury; 5 nieces and nephews; 8 great nieces and nephews; other relatives and a host of friends.
