James Andrew Evans

Alvord- James Andrew Evans, 70, went to be with our Lord Sunday, September 25, 2022.

Memorial Service is 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 30, 2022 at the Living Word Assembly of God Church in Alvord.

Officiant is  Rev. Phillip Weitner

James was born April 15, 1952 to Memory Lee and Zorha Margette(Cox) Evans in Decatur, Texas. He was united in marriage to Patricia Tennison November 27, 1970 in Decatur, Texas. James retired from Wise County after many years working as a hand at Wise County Precinct 2. James was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and a friend to many who will miss him dearly.

He is preceded in death by parents Memory and Zorha Evans; brother Cleo Evans; and sister Wanda Lou Sircy.

Those let to cherish his memory are his wife 51 years Patricia Evans of Alvord; son, Martin Evans and wife Loretta of Alvord, daughter Shannon Rich of Alvord; 2 grandsons Michael Rich of Alvord and Zachary Normon of Springtown, 2 granddaughters Jennifer Buckingham and husband Charles of Cleburne, Casey Kuykendall of Fort Worth and Anna Pope of Paradise, brother- in- law Bill Tennison and wife Gloria; numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
