Boyd ~ Jackie D. Waggoner, 81, a retired tax clerk, went to be with our Lord Wednesday, July 31, 2013 in Forestburg.
Graveside service is 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 3, 2013 at Perryman Cemetery in Forestburg. Family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Christian-Hawkins Funeral Home in Boyd.
Mike Boaldin will officiate. Pallbearers are Mike Burch, Robert Lynn, Jeff Biggars, Dustin Garland, Tony Richardson and Charlie Richardson.
Jackie was born on August 2, 1931 to Arthur "Lee" and Lillie (Denham) Tinney in Forestburg, Texas. She was united in marriage to Guy L. Waggoner, Sr. on November 8, 1952 in Galveston, Texas. Jackie retired from the Wise County Tax office for the second time in 2006 where she enjoyed her work and meeting people. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Boyd.
Jackie is preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Arthur, Charles and Clifford Tinney; her sisters, Wilma and Judy Tinney, Christine Willingham, Harriet Crenshaw and Addiele Jennings.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband of 60 years, Guy L. "Ted" Waggoner, Sr. of Boyd; her son, Guy L. Waggoner, Jr. and wife Glenda of Graham; her daughters, Pamela Simmons and husband George of Haltom City and Susan Garland and husband Mike of Forestburg; her grandchildren, Mike Burch and wife Christi, Rene Lynn and husband Robert, Amanda Biggars and husband Jeff, Dustin Garland and wife Becky, Leia Johnson and husband Dennis, Tony Richardson and wife Regina, Charlie Richardson and wife Michelle, Trey Simmons, and Megan Admire and husband Matt; 20 great grandchildren; her sisters, Katherine Davenport of Arlington and Patricia Smith of Boyd; her sister-in-law, Margaret Tinney of Paradise; numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and a host of friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Boyd Public Library or a library of their choice.
