J. Concepcion Perez-Lopez, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 11, 2025, in Bridgeport, Texas, at the age of 56. Born on December 2, 1968, in Zacatecas, Mexico, Concepcion leaves behind a profound legacy filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories that will forever echo in the hearts of those who knew him.
A visitation/Rosary in memory of Concepcion will be held on September 15, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Hawkins Funeral Home in Bridgeport, Texas. A Mass celebrating his remarkable life will take place on September 16, 2025, at 10:30 AM at St. John the Baptizer Catholic Church, followed by an interment service at East Bridgeport Cemetery at 11:30 AM.
Father Anto V. Carloose will be officiating. Pallbearers will include Juan Hilario, Luis Perez, Oliver Martinez, Rogelio Galicia, Martin Perez, and Berna Tovar.
Concepcion dedicated himself to his work as a derrickman in the oil field, demonstrating an unwavering work ethic and a commitment to providing for his family. Beyond his professional pursuits, he was a devoted member of St. John the Baptizer Catholic Church, where he found solace and community. His faith was an integral part of his life, guiding him through challenges and celebrating life’s blessings.
He was blessed to share 32 beautiful years of marriage with his wife, Maria Guadalupe Perez. Together, they cultivated a life rich in joy, cherished moments, and endless love. Concepcion took immense pride in his daughters, Katia, Andrea, and Nayeli Perez, who reside in Monterrey, Mexico. Each carries pieces of their father within them, reflecting his kindness and spirit in their day-to-day lives. His love extended beyond his immediate family, as he embraced his role as a grandfather to Adriel Saldaña of Dallas. Spending time with Adriel was very important, ensuring the bonds of love and legacy continued with the next generation.
Concepcion loved the sport of boxing and listening to music; family gatherings were a joyous highlight in Concepcion's life; he thrived in the company of his loved ones, creating lasting memories filled with warmth and joy. He was blessed with numerous extended family members and a host of friends who admired him for his genuine affection and unwavering support.
Though he is no longer with us in body, Concepcion’s spirit, love, and laughter will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be profoundly missed, but his legacy of love and the cherished memories he leaves behind will forever be a source of comfort. Rest in peace, dear Concepcion; your journey through life has left an indelible mark on those who had the privilege to know you.
