Imogene Gentry

Cottondale ~ Imogene Gentry, 87, a housewife, went to be with our Lord Thursday, April 2, 2015 in Cottondale.
Funeral is 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 6, 2015 at Cottondale Baptist Church with burial in Cottondale Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Rev. Rodney Bolejack and Charles Pugh will officiate. Pallbearers include Chris Miles, Zane Lasater, Chase Lasater, Brody Gentry, Jacoby Gentry and Bryson Gentry. Honorary pallbearer are Cody Gentry. Soloists are Donna Gentry, Frieda Davis and Dyke Reed. Pianist is Michael Niblett.
Imogene was born on January 28, 1928 to Claude and Ruby (Pike) Niblett in Agnes, Texas. She was united in marriage to Harold Arthur Gentry on March 26, 1949 in Weatherford, they were married for 66 years. Imogene was a Charter Member of the First Baptist Church in Cottondale. She loved her family, cooking, gardening, crocheting and her dogs. Imogene will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all who knew her. She was accepting of all people, giving of herself, and timeless in her commitment to help those around her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Claude Ray and Ruby Delpha Niblett; her brother, Eugene Niblett; her sisters, Inez King, Claudine (Tommy) Foreman and Betty Holley; her grandson, Cody Shane Gentry; her son-in-law, Clarence Miles.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband of 66 years, Harold Gentry of Cottondale; her daughters, Theresa Dale Norman and husband James of Rhome, and Letha Ann Lasater and husband Gary of Cottondale; her sons, Wally Gentry and wife Binky of Cottondale, and Jimmy Ray Gentry and wife Gail of Cottondale; 9 grandchildren, Chris Miles and wife Chantay, Dana King and husband Everett, Zane Lasater and Frieda, Keely Gage and husband Will, Chase Lasater and wife Amanda, Brody Gentry and wife Jacqueline, Jacoby Gentry and wife Jamie, Bryson Gentry, and Raylee Moss and husband Wesley; 16 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild; her sisters, Lorene Gentry and Edna Wood of Cottondale; numerous nieces, nephews, and host of friends.
