Chico ~ Howard Musick, 82, a retired contract welder, went to be with our Lord Sunday, August 3, 2014 in Decatur.
Funeral is 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Chico Cemetery. Family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service.
Rev. Sam Caldwell will officiate. Pallbearers include Bradley Brite, Chris Brite, Tony Crisp, Kenny Thorp, Anthony Neu, Gene Moody, Jay Throckmorton, Kenneth Thompson, Dale Moody, Charles Lovejoy, and Shorty Moody.
Howard was born on June 14, 1932 to Dennis and Walterene (Whitworth) Musick in Kernes, Texas. He was united in marriage to Dixie Freeman on February 21, 1953 in Carson City, Nevada.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Dixie Musick; his granddaughter, Kimah; and his 3 sisters.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his daughters, Debra Maynard of Arkansas, Beverly Crisp and husband John of Bridgeport; his sons, Howard R. Musick and wife Cheryl of Denton, Dennis Musick and wife Pam of Corpus Christi; his grandchildren, Chris, Justin, Tiffany, Adreane, Chelsey, Rosetta, and Mollie; 11 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
