Memorial service is 11:00 AM Friday, October 14th at the First United Methodist Church in Decatur with Johnny Irish officiating.
Howard was born September 4, 1924 to H. George and Minnie (Hatley) Anderson in Duluth, Minnesota. He married Dawn Black on October 15, 1949 in Duluth, Minnesota. Howard earned a Master's Degree in Science and was a teacher for nearly 40 years. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Decatur and also the Wise County Rock & Mineral Society.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 62 years, Dawn Anderson of Decatur; his son, Monte Anderson and wife Bianca of Rhome; his daughter, Wendy Robbins and husband Andy of Coralville, Iowa; 10 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
He is preceded in death by a son, Bradley Anderson and his parents.
