Newark ~ Homer Wendel Kemp, 71, a retired construction worker, went to be with our Lord, Saturday, August 19, 2017 in Decatur.
Graveside service is 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at Aurora Cemetery.
Rev. Rick Neathery will officiate.
Homer was born on April 12, 1946 to Joseph and Annie (McCrary) Kemp in Fort Worth. He proudly served our country in the United States Army.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Phillip Allen Kemp; his brothers, Gilbert, Bobby, and Obie Kemp; and his sister, Doris Troutman.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his daughter, Kim Rogers and husband Bobby of Hensley, Arkansas; his sons, Mike Kemp of Gilmer, and Jerry Kemp and wife Shannon of Dallas; ten grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren; his sister, Louise Meredith of Newark; his brothers, Willis Kemp and wife Velma of Haltom City, and Morris Kemp and wife Marie of Newark; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
