Boyd ~ Herminia Carrasco Martinez, 57, a certified nursing assistant, went to be with our Lord Thursday, September 22, 2011 at her home.
Funeral is 10:30 a.m. Thursday, September 29, 2011 at Christian-Hawkins Funeral Chapel in Boyd with burial in Garvin Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Rev. Gary Sessions will officiate. Pallbearers are Apolonio Paul Gonzalez, Jr., Alejandro Fuentes, Juan Fuentes, Juan Carlos Fuentes, Ricky Martinez, and Sertunino Laredo.
Herminia was born on October 22, 1953 to Guadalupe and Emma (Cruz) Carrasco in San Antonio. She was a certified nursing assistant. Herminia was a beloved mother and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Edwardo Carrasco; and her sister, Juanita Gonzales.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her daughter, Crystal Martinez and husband Alejandro of Boyd; her son, Apolonio Paul Gonzalez, Jr. and wife Christina of Krum; her grandchildren, Hailey, Emmanuel, Malachi, and Evangelina; her sisters, Carmen Mora, Olivia Sanez, Geneve Alcorta, Placida Peggy Sheared, and Grace Villabos; her brothers, Alfredo Carrasco, Robert Carrasco, Guadalupe Carrasco, and Ezekiel Carrasco; other family members and a host of friends.
