KEETER -- Herman Alexander Stone, 85, of Keeter died Wednesday, November 14, 2007 at his home in Keeter.
Services are private.
H.A. was born on May 1, 1922 in Fort Worth, Texas to James Oscar and Josephine Frances (Johnson) Stone. He served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII and married Cherie Courtney on February 2, 1947 in Weatherford. He was a lifetime member of the Azle VFW #2137, and a member of the Plasterers Union.
H.A. was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, B.H. Stone; and three sisters, Vivian Dorsey, Rachael Ellard, and Mabel Jones.
Survivors: wife of 60 years, Cherie Stone of Keeter; sons, Scotty Jack Ousley of Fort Worth and James Alexander Stone of Azle; daughter, Cherie Stone of Keeter; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; brother, Roy Stone of Boyd; sister, Evelyn Russell of Lakeside; several nieces and nephews.
