Decatur ~ Herbert J. Wright, 78, a retired farmer and rancher died Sunday, July 27, 2014 in Corinth, Texas.
Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Oaklawn Cemetery. There will be no set family visitation.
Rev. Gerre Joiner will officiate. Pallbearers include Mark Jones, David Jones, Chad Horner, Nathan P. Horner, Dylan Horner and Mike Horner.
Herbert was born June 22, 1936 to Jack and Lela Mae (Redding) Wright in Decatur, Texas. He married Jo Ann Caswell on October 20, 1956 in Ardmore, Oklahoma.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 58 years, Jo Ann Wright of Decatur; sons, Richard James Wright and wife Cindy of Aubrey and Robert Scott Wright of Houston; 3 sisters, Oleta Horner of Alvord, Iona Lindsey of Sanger, and Frances Pate of California; numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 4 sisters; 1 brother.
