Henry Richard "Rick" Plummer

Henry Richard “Rick” Plummer, 63, passed away on Monday, March 6, 2023 at his home in Decatur, Texas after struggling with mental illness and a broken heart. He recently moved to Decatur in February 2023 after losing his wife, Regina Mason. Before that move, Rick lived in Arlington, Texas for more than 35 years.

Rick was born on April 18, 1959 to Joyce and Henry W. “Bill” Plummer in Dallas. In 1989, he met Regina, and they fell in love. Together, they raised Regina’s son, T.J. Mason, and granddaughter, Lexi Szimanski.

Rick’s hobbies included spending time in the kitchen crafting a favorite dish and betting on horse racing.

He is preceded in death by his brother, Jon, father, and wife. He is survived by his mother, Joyce Plummer of Grand Prairie, Texas; sister Judy (Craig) Rawle of Decatur, Texas; cousins, Karen Marsalko; Deanna Marsalko; Steve Marsalko; Doug Smith; and John Pitera; and numerous nieces and nephews.

While we would love to hold a memorial service in Rick’s name, he specifically requested that no services occur.
