Helmi Norris

Paradise ~ Helmi Norris, 87, went to be with our Lord Thursday, July 11, 2024 in Decatur.

Funeral Service is 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 23rd, at First Baptist Church in Paradise with burial at Paradise Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Monday, July 22nd, at the Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Bridgeport.

Helmi was born on October 29, 1936 to Barbara and Karl Lohr in Koblenz, Germany. She was united in marriage to Donald Wayne Norris, Sr. on March 10, 1956 in Bad Kreuznach, Germany. Helmi was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and a friend to many that will miss her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Norris, Sr.; her parents; her brother, Peter Lohr; her daughter, Vanessa Ann; and her son-in-law, Dickie Wooldridge.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her daughter, Debra Wooldridge Logan; her son, Donald “Bo” Norris, Jr. and wife Kelly; her grandchildren, Kyle Wooldridge and Kalei of Bridgeport, Kristopher Wooldridge of Moab, Utah, Amber Nicole McKiel and husband Jimmy of Newark, and Kayla Michea Taylor and husband Lee of Justin; her bonus grandchildren, Sam Wooldridge, Luke Wooldridge, Madison Brown, Mitchell Jurgeson, and Dawson Alcorn; her great-grandchildren, Brooklyn, Kyndal, Jaciee, Adalyn, Caylee, Harlow, Leo, Benji, and Karter; numerous other relatives and a host of friends.
