Harold Ray Robinson

Decatur ~ Harold Ray Robinson, 82, went to be with our Lord Tuesday, June 12, 2018 in Decatur.

Funeral is 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 14, 2018 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Oaklawn Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur.

Tracey Epting will officiate. Pallbearers include Darrel Perkins, Danny Taylor, Clayton Taylor, Zane Lasater, Billy Stout, Preston Pruett, Ronnie Ramsey and Angel Carrillo. Honorary pallbearers are Benny King, Dewayne Hill, Steve Curry, Ryan Davis, Evan Davis, Jase Stout, Joseph Laremore and Poco Friends.

Harold Ray was born on November 9, 1935 to Claude and Nina (England) Robinson in Decatur, Texas. He was united in marriage to Bessie June Steadham on August 13, 1969 in Fort Worth. Harold Ray retired from Poco Graphite after 30 plus years as a machinist. He was a lifelong farmer whose passion was raising cattle. Harold Ray was a member of the Greenwood Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, June Robinson; his father, Claude Robinson; his sister Claudine Haley and his sister in law, Jane Perkins.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his mother, Nina Robinson of Decatur; his sisters, Connie Pruett of Decatur, Sylvia Taylor of Decatur; numerous nieces, nephews, family, and a host of friends.
