Gwendolyn Joy Smith

North Richland Hills ~ Gwendolyn Joy Smith, 74, went to be with our Lord Monday, October 18, 2021.

Graveside Service is 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 21, 2021 at Aurora Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur.

Gwendolyn was born February 23, 1947 to Marvel Leonard and Lila Christine (Burk) Smith in Justin, Texas. She was a retired property manager after many years in the real estate industry. Gwendolyn was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to many who will miss her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Marvel and Lila Smith; her brother, Marvel Lee “Bubba” Smith; an infant son, Michael Leonard Whitehead.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her daughters, Christine Smith and husband James of North Richland Hills, and Mary Ann Boulware of Bridgeport; 2 grandchildren, Gabriel Walker Smith and Katelyn Joy Brewer; her sister, Pamela Hudson of Bridgeport; her brother, James Smith of Rochester, Texas; numerous extended Family and a host of friends.
