Sunset ~ Guy Hayes Brooks, 85, a retired aircraft mechanic and Wise County employee, went to be with our Lord Tuesday, December 13, 2017 in Bridgeport.
Graveside service is 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 16, 2017 at Newcastle Cemetery in Newcastle, Texas. Cemetery. No set visitation.
Guy was born on September 6, 1932 to Andrew and Johnnie Lee (Yarbrough) Brooks in Newcastle, Texas. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. Guy was a member of Wise County Veterans and a member of the Masonic Lodge.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Guy Brooks Jr.; his brothers, James and Joe Brooks; and his sisters, Ophilia Kessler and Rea Donahue.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his daughter, Peggy Manion and husband James of Granbury; his son, Gregory H. Brooks of Euless; 5 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren; his sister, Billie Jacobson of Eden, Texas; his brother, Pooch Williams of Newcastle; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
