Memorial service is 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 4, 2011 at Western Star Cowboy Church in Springtown. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Monday at the church.
Rusty was born on June 21, 1951 to Curtis and Mary (Sanders) Goodwin in Grapevine, Texas. He married Jo Martin on December 19, 1982 in Saltillo, Texas. Rusty worked for Toyota of Irving for 25 years. He was an elder and a founding member of Western Star Cowboy Church. Over the years, Rusty loved camping and trail riding in different states with family and friends. He was an excellent camp cook.
Rusty was preceded in death by his father, Curtis Goodwin of Boyd; his sister, Linda Gilbert of Houston; and his brother, Kenneth Goodwin of Boyd.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 28 years, Jo "Martin" Goodwin of Paradise; his daughters, Angie Brown and husband Robert of Tyler, Whitney Ferrell and husband Chad of Grapevine, and Kylie Jimenez and husband Michel of Farewell; his son, Tye Kinnibrugh and wife Niki of White Settlement; 9 grandchildren; his mother, Mary Goodwin of Boyd; his brother, Donnie Goodwin and wife Lollie of Paradise; his sister, Tammy White and husband Timmy of Saltillo; his sister in law, Sheila Goodwin of Boyd; his brothers in law, Jimmy Gilbert of Winnsboro, Len Martin of Weatherford and Chuck Martin and wife June of Frisco; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and a host of friends.
The family would like to give a special thank you to the members of Western Star Cowboy Church, Solaris Hospice, and Toyota of Irving.
