Saint Jo ~ Gloria Jean Hughes Hall, 82, a caregiver, went to be with our Lord Wednesday, August 13, 2014 in Wichita Falls.
Funeral is 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at Bible Baptist Church in Bowie with burial in Elmwood Cemetery in Bowie. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the church.
Pastor Steve Summers will officiate. Pallbearers include William Kent, Tommy Hughes, Kevin McGee, and Wallace Bowman.
Gloria was born on January 20, 1932 to Flannagen and Ethyle (Fordyce) Davis in Washington, Pennsylvania. She was united in marriage to James Hall on January 15, 2014 in Montague. Gloria enjoyed embroidery and gardening. She loved animals, especially her cats.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her sister, Junia Lee.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband, James Hall of Bowie; her daughters, Tina Smith of Nashville, Tennessee, Kristi Bohart of Atlanta, Georgia, Amy Rice of Beaumont; her sons, James Hall Jr. of Bowie, David Wayne Hughes of Amarillo; her sister, Celia Reynolds of Washington, Pennsylvania; her brother, Clarence Davis of Washington, Pennsylvania; 9 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
