Gloria Ann Dustman, 96, of League City went home to be with the Lord April 10, 2025 at her home in Grand Living Tuscany Lakes, League City, Texas, surrounded by her loving family.
Gloria Ann was born on July 21, 1928 in Rhome, Texas to Walter Curtis Brammer and Alice Gertrude Brammer (nee Nesmith). After completing her high school education, she commenced employment with the War Department where she was a typist for confidential war orders.
On May 25, 1946 she married Melvin Lee Dustman and they were united in marriage for nearly 45 years at the time of his passing. Throughout most of her life she dedicated herself to homemaking and for several years authored a newspaper column titled the “Rhome Review” for the Wise County Messenger detailing local events and happenings.
She served as a Sunday School teacher for numerous years at the Rhome Baptist Church in Rhome, Texas. After relocating to this area, she became a member of Baker Drive Baptist Church in Dickinson, Tx. During the summer months she took pleasure in canning, making jelly and gardening. Additionally, she enjoyed dancing and yodeling in the kitchen and was known for her ability to swiftly prepare pies from scratch and her love of strawberry milkshakes.
Gloria Ann Dustman is survived by her three children: Margie Callen of Galveston, Danny Dustman of Sante Fe, and Mark Dustman and his wife Marlene of Fulda, Germany. She was also blessed with 12 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 32 great-great grandchildren.
Gloria was preceded in Death by her parents Walter and Gertrude, her husband Melvin Lee, her sister Ruth Harlen Frye, her brothers Kenneth Brammer, Curtis and Billy Ray Brammer.
