Decatur: Glenn Henry "Hank" Taylor, 48, went to be with our Lord on Wednesday, April 8, 2009 at his home.
Funeral service is 10 a.m. Friday at the First Baptist Church of Decatur with Reverend Ken May, Chris Jones and Ray Gipson officiating. Interment will be in Oaklawn Cemetery following the service. Family will receive friends from 9 to 9:30 a.m. at the church prior to the service.
Pallbearers are David Taylor, Landon Taylor, Alan Taylor, Chris Redmon, Brock Taylor, Gayle Redmon, Allen Redmon and Jack Taylor.
Hank was born September 14, 1960 in Fort Worth, Texas to Jimmy Carl and Mary Lou (Redmon) Taylor. He married Lisa Ellen Schlaefli on August 7, 1993 in Decatur. Hank worked for Chevron in Irving for 15 years and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Decatur.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Lisa Taylor of Decatur; two daughters, Laura Dunlap and Mary Taylor of Decatur; son, Michael Taylor of Decatur; mother, Mary Lou Taylor of Decatur; three brothers, David Taylor of Flower Mound, Jim Taylor of Decatur, Jack Taylor of Richardson.
Hank is preceded in death by his father, Jmmy Carl Taylor.
