BRIDGEPORT, TX -- Glen Fleming, 87, a retired switcher for El Paso Natural Gas, died Tuesday, April 24, 2007, in Decatur, TX. Mr. Fleming was born July 9, 1919 in Baby Head, TX to Lloyd R. and Emma Beasley Fleming. Funeral: 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 1, 2007 in Hawkins Funeral Chapel with the Bro. Roger Rhodes officiating. Burial: East Bridgeport Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. He married Lorell Burleson Sept. 27, 1947 in Tuscon, AZ. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran, an accomplished bluegrass musician, a ranch-hand for Barnes Ranch in San Saba, TX and a member of Cates St. Church of Christ of Bridgeport. Mr. Fleming had a love of woodworking. Mr. Fleming was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Lloyd Raymond and Gordon Dale Fleming.
Survivors: Wife of 59 years, Lorell Fleming; daughter, Melissa Osborne and husband Gary of Runaway Bay, TX; grandchildren, Shelena Kay Morrow and husband Tim of Bridgeport, TX; Angela McNally and husband Chris of North Carolina; Nathan Osborne and wife Chrissie of Phoenix, AZ; and Danyell Miller and husband Lyle of Denton, TX; great-grandchildren, Amanda, Ethan, Terrance, Christian, Ted, Harold Lee, Tyler, Kyndra, Jacob, Lorlei and Emerald; sisters, LaDell Kenny of San Saba, TX; Jerie Warner of Grand Prairie, TX and Raymona Gutierez and husband Jim of California; numerous nieces and nephews.
