Bridgeport ~ Glen Carol Baker, 94, a commercial fisherman, went to be with our Lord, Monday, January 21, 2019, in Archer City.
Graveside service is 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 24, 2019, at Long Branch Cemetery in Nocona, Texas.
Glen was born on June 30, 1924, to Urban and Eula (Teague) Baker in Nocona, Texas. He attended Robert Lee Paschal High School in Fort Worth. Glen proudly served his country in the United States Merchant Marines and graduated from the US Merchant Marine Academy in Long Island, New York on Friday, May 5, 1944. He served on various ships during WWII and even attained second in command. Glen met and married Elizabeth (Libby) Brush from New York.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his sister, Betty Ruth Baker.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his daughter, Penny Baker Todd of Sierra Madre, California; his son, Galen Baker of Sacramento, California; his 4 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; numerous cousins, and other family members.
