Springtown---Geraldine Parks Read, 60 went to be with our Lord on Wednesday, March 19, 2008 in Bridgeport. Funeral: 10:30 AM Saturday, March 22, 2008 at Hawkins Funeral Chapel. Burial: Annis Chapel Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 PM Friday at the funeral home. Chaplain Craig Rolen will officiate. Pallbearers will be: Brandon Harris, Art Lankford, Bobby Deaton, Jason Booth, Barry Blackwell, and Shawn Placencia.
Geraldine was born on December 28, 1947 in Kennard, Texas to Fletcher Scott and Iona (Ripley) Parks. She was a homemaker. She married Bill Read on May 22, 1972 in Marietta, Oklahoma.
Geraldine was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her son, Kevin Lee Harris; great grandchild, Aubree Barrow; sisters, Maxine Parks and Catherine Hilton; and brothers, Jimmy and William Parks.
Left behind to cherish her memory is her: Son: Larry Harris and wife Wendy of Granbury; Daughters: Melinda Reid of Everman, Brenda Kay Dugan of Granbury, Tephanie Read of Paradise, Renda Deaton and husband Cody of Paradise; Grandchildren: Brandon, Elishah, John, Alvis, Amber, Ashlee, Amanda, Jerry, Jr., Brittany, Chance, Dominick, Aliyah, Kylan, and Kylie; Great Grandchildren: Tessa, Madison, Dakota, Byron, Makaylee, and Aubree; Sisters: Retha Thornton and Charlene Thomas; Brother: Danny Parks; Many Nieces and Nephews.
