Boyd ~ Geraldine (Jerrie) Brewer Jordan, 67, a food service manager for the Boyd ISD, went to be with our Lord Monday, May 27, 2013 in Boyd.
Funeral is 10:30 Saturday, June 1, 2013 at Christian-Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Boyd with burial in Boyd Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Bro. John Sanders will officiate. Pallbearers are James Lunsford, Jefferson C. Lunsford, Robert Anthony Jordan, Randy G. Dennis, Mathew D. Lunsford and John Thomas Lunsford. Honorary pallbearers are Baily Lunsford and Gabriel Lunsford.
Jerrie was born to a preacher and his wife, Melborne and Hattie (Leachman) Brewer in the foothills of the Smokey Mountains on January 13, 1946. She was the youngest of 15 children. Jerrie was united in marriage to James R. Jordan on February 14, 1975 in El Paso. She was a member of the Eastern Star. Jerrie was known for her candid spirit, blunt attitude and love for family and friends. She led a fruitful, community driven life giving almost two decades of work to the Boyd Independent School District. Jerrie was an avid bowler and fondly referred to as
