Watauga ~ Gerald Lee Rowden, 70, a retired sanitation worker, went to be with our Lord Friday, January 24, 2014 in Watauga.
Funeral is 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 26, 2014 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel with burial in West Bridgeport Cemetery. Family will receive friends 4-6 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Rev. Joel Watson will officiate. Pallbearers include Randy O’Dell, Jerry O’Dell, Ricky O’Dell, David O’Dell Jesse Loper, and Rocky Loper.
Gerald was born on February 18, 1943 to William and Dovie (O’Dell) Rowden in Bridgeport. He was united in marriage to Arline Kuykedall on August 4, 1969 in Fort Worth. Gerald retired from the City of Azle in the Sanitation Department.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Arline Rowden.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his daughter, Lee Ann Marshall of Watauga; his sons, Brad Rowden of Watauga, Brant Rowden and fiancé Heather Hayworth of Watauga, and Brandon Rowden of Watauga; his grandchildren, Joshua Lee and wife Christen, Shayna Childers and husband Bobby, Trent Rowden, Kaylee Rowden, Jarrett Stockton, Samantha Nelson and husband Zack, and Shalana Brock; 7 great grandchildren; other family members and a host of friends.
