Decatur: George Ann Brandon, 83, a retired accountant, went to be with our Lord, Sunday, January 22, 2012 in Decatur, Texas.
Funeral service is 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 24th at First Baptist Church of Decatur with Reverend Ken May officiating. Interment: Pleasant Grove Cemetery No. 1. Family will receive friends from 6-7:00 p.m. Monday at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home.
Pallbearers include Brandon Reynolds, Ridge Reynolds, James Brandon, Eric Brandon, William Eurto and Zach Delgado.
George Ann was born January 11, 1929 in Decatur, Texas to George and Willie Pearl (McCracken) Elder. She was united in marriage to Clayton L. "Shorty" Brandon in 1959 in Oklahoma and was married 29 years at his death in 1988. George Ann is also preceded in death by her brother, Billy Jeff Elder and sister, Martha Jo Keown.
George Ann retired from Wise Electric Co-op after 25 years of service. She later began another career with James Wood Motors in the accounting department and was retiring after 17 years of service on March 1st.
Left behind to cherish her memory are two sons, Russell Reynolds of Decatur and Craig Brandon of Keller; 6 grandchildren, Brandon, Rayne and Ridge Reynolds, Carolyn Eurto, James and Eric Brandon; and a host of friends.
