Decatur ~ George Wayne Geron, 70, went to be with our Lord Saturday, September 16, 2017 in Fort Worth.
Graveside is 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at Geron Family Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur.
Dwight Trotter will officiate. Pallbearers include Clif Geron, Robby Geron, Jordan Geron, Joseph Geron, Lou Greiner, and J.D. Claunch.
George was born on January 21, 1947 to Charles and Alice (Rose) Geron in Fort Worth, Texas. He was united in marriage to Diana Claunch on June 3, 1967 in Fort Worth. George retired from Plumbing Contractor as a Master Plumber. He served his country in the United States Marines.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Joey Geron; his brother, Larry Vaughn.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 50 years, Diana Geron of Decatur; his son, Tim Geron of Decatur; his grandchildren, Jordan Geron of Decatur, Joseph Geron of Fort Worth; his great grandchild, Christopher Geron; his brothers, Edward Geron and wife Vita of San Angelo, Michael Vaughn and wife Jammie of Decatur; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
