Garry Lee Munn

Boyd ~ Garry Lee Munn, 74, a local business owner, went to be with our Lord Wednesday, June 10, 2015 in Decatur.

Funeral is 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 12, 2015 at Boyd Church of Christ with private burial. Family will receive friends 6 - 8 p.m. Thursday at Christian-Hawkins Funeral Home in Boyd.

Speakers will be Mark Taylor and Doug Parr. Pallbearers include Ronnie Smith, Sam Connally, Johnny Mosely, Dennis Chenevert, Mike Hayes and Glenn Hodgkins.

Garry was born on February 27, 1941 to and was the only child of Garry and Alma (Wilson) Munn in Decatur, Texas. He was a graduate of Boyd High School. He married his high school sweetheart Carla Beauchamp on July 1, 1961 in Boyd. Garry and Carla are owners and operators of Munn Hardware in Boyd. He was the song leader and a member of the Boyd Church of Christ. Garry was a loving husband, father and a devoted “Pap” to his grandchildren.

Garry was preceded in death by his parents.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 54 years Carla Joan Munn of Boyd; his daughter, Gloria Jean Light of Nashville, Tennessee; his sons, Mark Munn and wife Dana of Paradise, David Munn of Boyd and Chris Munn of Boyd; 5 grandchildren; his Church of Christ family; other family members and a host of friends.
