Freda Gail (Pickerell) Barrow

Boyd ~ Freda Gail Barrow, 61, a loving wife, mother, and grandmother went to be with her Lord Saturday, January 16, 2021 in Decatur, Texas.

Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, January 21, 2021 at Knob Hill Tabernacle in Azle, Texas with Pastor Don Smith, Pastor Lewis McCartney, and her son Pastor Shaun Barrow officiating.

Pallbearers include Jordan Karr, Cole Barrow, Kenneth Kemp Jr., Kyle Kemp, Micah McCartney, Kalvin Karr, and Roy Sykes. Honorary pallbearer will be Roy Sykes.

Freda was born November 20, 1959 to Fred and Margie (Lawler) Pickerell in Gainesville, Texas. She was a Class of 1978 graduate from Hubbard High School in Hubbard, Texas. Freda married Randy Barrow on June 2, 1978 in Haltom City, Texas. They were married 41 years.

Freda was very proud of her children, grandchildren and family. Her heart’s passions were singing, music and being in church. She lived for the weekend to spend time with her husband.

She was an active member of Knob Hill Tabernacle, where in the past she served as a Sunday school teacher, worship leader and on the hospitality team.

Freda was preceded in death by her father and a brother, William Boyd Pickerell.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband, Randy Barrow of Boyd; daughter, Natausha Karr and husband Brandon of Poolville; son, Randall Shaun Barrow and wife Angel Beth of Poolville; 6 grandchildren, Jordan Karr and wife Karleigh, Aricka Barrow, Emilie Karr, Ashlyn Karr, and Shaun Cole Barrow; her mother, Margie Pickerell of Boyd; a sister, Barbara Joy Kemp of Summerfield, Louisiana; numerous extended family and a host of friends.
