Frankie Lee Schoonover

Boyd ~ Frankie Lee Schoonover, 68, a retired welder, went to be with our Lord Tuesday, April 21, 2015 in Decatur.

Graveside service is 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 25, 2015 at Boyd Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday at Christian-Hawkins Funeral Home in Boyd.

Rev. Jesse Ferguson will officiate.

Frankie was born on April 22, 1946 to George R. and Sarah (Traylor) Schoonover in Fort Worth, Texas. He was united in marriage to Maudie Harris on October 7, 1968 in Fort Worth, Texas.  Frankie was a member of the Word of Life Church in Lakeside.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Maudie Schoonover; his son, Frankie Dewayne Schoonover; and his brothers, Oscar, Mitchell and Johnnie Schoonover.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his sister, Barbara Rhien of Big Sandy; his stepdaughter, Brenda McGuire of Watauga; his stepsons, Charles Trussell of Watauga and Eugene Trussell and wife Penny of Fair Hope, Alabama; his daughter in law, Sherry Schoonover of Azle; 16 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; other family members and a host of friends.
