Frank Odom

Funeral service is 10 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church of Alvord with Reverend Bill Cleveland officiating. Burial will be in Sanger Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-7 p.m. Friday at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home.

Pallbearers include the deacons from First Baptist Church of Alvord.

Frank was born March 7, 1928 in Denton County, Texas to Luther Taylor and Dosha Vaughn Odom. He married Jewel Dean Spindle on October 3, 1947 in Grand Prairie, Texas. Frank retired from General Motors after 30 years of service as Supervisor in the Paint Department. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Alvord.

Left behind to cherish his memory is wife of 62 years, Dean Odom of Alvord; two daughters, Carol Carmichiel and husband, Steve of Kentucky, Charlene May and husband, Ronny of Sunset; two granddaughters; Tina Thomas and husband, Jim of Indiana, Chas Edwards and husband, Eric of Ft. Worth; great grandson, Cory Thomas of Indiana; two brothers, Lawrence and Loy Odom both of Arlington; sisters, Olete Nelson of Oklahoma and Barbara Fiend of Georgia.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents and older brother, Taylor Odom.
