Runaway Bay ~ Frances “Rene” Seals, 93, a homemaker, went to be with our Lord Wednesday, April 8, 2015 in Bridgeport.
Funeral is 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 11, 2015 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Rev. Jerry Calloway will officiate.
Rene was born on September 28, 1921 to John and Lucille (McDaniel) Kirkland in Comanche, Texas. She was united in marriage to Gordon Seals on June 2, 1945 in Comanche. Rene was a member of the Runaway Bay Community Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 59 years, Gordon Seals; her daughter, Judy Taylor; her grandson, James Seals; her brothers, Austin Kirkland, Troy Kirkland, and Delbert Kirkland; her sisters, Marie Morgan, and Jewell Kirkland.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her son, Jim Seals and wife Vicki of Chico; her grandchildren, Jason Seals and wife April, Lisa Podhaisky and husband Scott, James Seals, Valerie Roberts and husband Jason, Robert Taylor, Colby Miller and wife Teramie; her great grandchildren, Benjamin Kipp, Abigail Seals, Molly Seals, Marissa Podhaisky, Breane Podhaisky, Tyler Podhaisky, Blaze Miller, Zephan Miller, Kari Miller, Neda Miller, Katlin Davis, Davy Davis, Sierra Taylor; her great-great grandchild, Kamarran House; her sisters, Barbara Holland of Comanche, Melba Tribolette of Richwood, West Virginia, Faye Brugnoli of Richwood, West Virginia, Zelma Loudermilk of Weatherford; numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, and a host of friends.
