Frances Darlene Reid

Frances Darlene Reid, 86, of Aurora went to be with her Lord Monday, December 16, 2024 in Bridgeport, Texas.

Funeral is 10:00 a.m. Friday, December 20th at Aurora Baptist Church with burial at Aurora Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8:00 p.m. Thursday at Hawkins funeral Home in Decatur.

Jimmy Withers and Rick Stokes will officiate. Pallbearers include Travis Reid, Tyler Kemp, Michael Moreland, Andy Keeton, Andrew Schwieger, Mike McCarty, and Dashal Reid.

Darlene was born September 17th, 1938 to W.A. “Bill” and Cleo P. (Wright) Forsyth in Henrietta, Texas. She was united in marriage February 9th, 1957 to J.W. Reid in Ft. Worth, Texas, married 57 years before his passing. Darlene was a retired Supervisor for an Aircraft Manufacturing company for many years. She graduated Northwest High School and attended Aurora Baptist Church. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to many who will miss her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Cleo Forsyth; her husband, J.W. Reid; 2 brothers, and 2 sisters.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Mickey Reid and wife Judy of Chico; 2 daughters, Karen Keeton and husband Mark of Haslet, and Pam Kemp of Aurora; 6 grandchildren, Travis Reid, Amy Moreland, Jessica McCarty, Andy Keeton, Lindsay Schwieger, and Tyler Kemp; 7 great-grandchildren; extended family and a host of friends.
