Faye Simons

Bridgeport ~ Faye Simons, 78, a retired store manager, went to be with the Lord Friday, September 8, 2017 in Bridgeport.

Funeral is 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Bridgeport with burial in Chico Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Rev. Larry Potts will officiate. Pallbearers include Darrell Fisher, Gary Simons, Larry Simons, Ron Brown, Chris Liebel, and Donald Roberts. Honorary pallbearers are Kirk Eason, and Richard Roberts.

Faye was born on November 19, 1938 to Lonnie and Rosetta (Putman) Roberts in Madill, Oklahoma. She was united in marriage to Thomas Weldon Simons on December 23, 1955 in Dallas, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Thomas Simons; her twin brother, Ray Roberts; her brothers, Earnest Roberts, and Earl Roberts; her sisters, Thelma Simons, Vivian Miller, Wanda King, Mary Simons, and Loretta Okerlund.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her daughters, Sharon Liebel and husband Paul of Chico, Marilyn Simons and husband Jerry Oroke of Bridgeport; her sons, Thomas Wayne Simons and wife Nancy of Monmouth, Oregon, Billy Ray Simons of Bridgeport, Ronnie Boyd Simons and wife Karen of Flint, Texas; 14 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; her brother, Lonnie Roberts of Marshall, Texas; her sister, Alma Joyce Ward of Clinton, Oklahoma; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
