Bridgeport ~ Evelyn Rose Taylor, 85, a business owner and retired clerical worker, went to be with our Lord Tuesday, October 14, 2014 in Flower Mound.
Funeral is 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 18, 2014 at Cates Street Baptist Church in Bridgeport with burial in Rolling Oaks Cemetery in Coppell. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday at Hawkins Funeral Home.
Rev. Randy James will officiate. Pallbearers include Paul Preston, Troy Janides, David Beatty, Fred Preston, Daniel Taylor, and Steven Stone.
Evelyn was born on March 20, 1929 to Benjiman and Bernice (Pressley) Kraatz in Sharp, Texas. She owned and operated The Chicken Box Restaurant for 30 years. Evelyn was a member of the Cates Street Baptist Church in Bridgeport.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Randy Taylor; 1 brother; 6 sisters; her grandson, Michael Taylor; her granddaughter, Tiffany Stone; and her son-in-law, Bobby Stone.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her daughters, Linda Preston of Flower Mound, Cynthia Stone of Justin, Donna Janides and husband James of Irving; her daughter-in-law, Ellen Taylor of Cottondale; 8 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; her sisters, Lorene Wickr of Commerce; Lucille McCrummen of Commerce, Doris Kerbow of Commerce; her brothers, Charles Kraatz and wife Norma of Irving, Gene Kraatz of Apple Valley, California; other family members and a host of friends.
