Decatur: Evelyn L. Nelson, 82, a retired registered nurse went to be with our Lord, Thursday, February 25, 2010 in Decatur.
Memorial service is 2 p.m. Monday, March 1st at Central Fellowship with Monty Tuttle, Philip Nelson and Jeremy Nelson officiating.
Evelyn was born November 3, 1927 in Doliver, Iowa to Archie B. and Verna I. Dack Crabtree. She married Robert Nelson on August 7, 1940 in Seattle, Washington. Evelyn was a member of Central Fellowship Church.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her husband of 61 years, Robert M. Nelson of Decatur; daughter, Diana L. Howe and husband, Richard of Decatur; son, Melvin G. Nelson and wife, Virginia of Longmont, Colorado; six grandchildren, Jason, Jessica, Christa, Jeremy, Philip and Amber; six great grandchildren, Alex, Christopher, Alex, Ben, Reagan and Aleithia; two brothers, Lloyd and Marlin Crabtree; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends. Evelyn is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Charles Crabtree.
