Denton ~ Eva Wynell Zinn, 86, a retired teacher, went to be with our Lord Friday, February 23, 2018 in Denton.
Funeral is 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Decatur with burial in Oaklawn Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-7 p.m. Tuesday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur.
Rev. John Franklin will officiate. Pallbearers include her grandsons Kevin Byrne, Jon Zinn, Max Duncan, and Robert Duncan.
Eva was born on March 7, 1931 to Floyd and Willie (Osborne) Wiley in San Angelo, Texas. She was united in marriage to Edward Vance Zinn on December 26, 1949 in Spade, Texas. Eva retired from teaching. She was a member of the Southmont Baptist Church in Denton.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her son, Wiley Zinn; her twin daughters, Jeannie and Judy Zinn.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her daughters, Joy Duncan and husband Jay of Denton, Kathy Phillips and husband Fred of Temple; her grandchildren, Ary Franklin, Jon Zinn, Laura Zinn, Kevin Byrne, Meghan Byrne, Max Duncan, Robert Duncan, and Brian Phillips; her great grandchildren, Mary Grace Franklin, Jack Franklin, Vance Zinn, Elle Zinn, Justin Phillips, and Nick Phillips; her brother, Raymond Wiley and wife Betty of Lubbock; her daughter in law, Debbie Zinn of Belton, Texas; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
