Esperanza (Fuentez) Rodriguez

Decatur ~ Esperanza Rodriguez, 79, a homemaker, went to be with our Lord Monday, April 2, 2018 in Decatur.

Funeral is 10:30 a.m. Thursday April 5, 2018 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Oaklawn Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Wednesday with 7 p.m. Rosary at Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur.

Father Thomas Dsouza will officiate. Pallbearers include Sergio Rodriguez, Gilberto Rodriguez, Victor Rodriguez, Miguel Valenzuela, Eduardo Romo, and Edgar Rodriguez.

Esperanza was born on November 30, 1938 to Victor and Maria Del Socorro (Garza) Fuentez in Zaragoza, Coahuila, Mexico. She was united in marriage to Filiberto Rodriguez on February 5, 1956 in Zaragoza, Coahuila, Mexico.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Javier Rodriguez; her daughter, Maria Del Soccoro; 5 brothers and 3 sisters.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband of 62 years, Filiberto Rodriguez of Decatur; her sons, Guadalupe Rodriguez of Decatur, Victor Rodriguez of San Antonio, Gilberto Rodriguez of Decatur, Jorge Luis Rodriguez of Mexico, Sergio Rodriguez of Decatur, Cristobal Rodriguez of Decatur, Hector Rodriguez of Decatur; her daughters, Virgina Rodriguez of Mexico, Gillerminia Rodriguez of Aurora, Maria Del Refujio of Mexico, Maria Isabel Rodriguez of Decatur, Guadalupe Rodriguez of Decatur, Esperanza Rodriguez of Decatur, Maria De Jesus Ferrnandez of Decatur, Margarita Valenzuela of Decatur; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren; 3 sisters; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
